ACTS 1:15-26- Lesson Two
1. Going back to verse 14, it says those who returned to Jerusalem "continued with one accord in prayer and supplication."
(a) What would be the main center of their prayer?
(b) What is the significance of the writer mentioning "the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers"?
2. In verse 15, Peter seemed to have taken charge of the group. What are your thoughts on that?
3. Give the references that Peter refers to in verses 16-18 and list some of your thoughts.
4. Why would it be necessary to have another take the place of Judas?
b) Give Peter's proof to them that this was God's purpose, in Judas's exit and then choosing another to take his place.
5. Explain their use of lots, in verse 26. Would this be a valid method for the church today?
6. (a) Are our prayers today God centered?
(b) What are some ways to make them God centered?
7. Give a lesson that we can learn from studying this passage.
