(a) What word in verse 1 tells us that Luke had probably joined
back up with Paul? How long had he been absent from the narrative?
(b) Another fellow worker accompanied Paul. Who was he and list
some general information about him?
(c) Who was Julius?
(d) Why did Julius show kindness to Paul and allow Paul to visit
with his friends?
(e) List some phrases that show that this trip wasn't going to
be easy.
II. The Stay. (Read verses 9-12.)
(a) Describe what it might have been like in a boat back in
those times.
(b) Why would it have been dangerous for them?
(c) Give details of why Paul would give advice to officials at
this time. (See verse 10)
(d) Why would the officials not believe Paul?
(e) Would you say after reading verse 10 that Paul's leadership
skills were about to come to the group?
