3. Read the accounts of the crucifixion of Jesus from the other gospels. How did the enemies of Jesus twist His words in the passages to work against Him? Give chapters and verses.

4. (a) If the Spiritual leaders and the Jews had been truly honest, would they have needed more miracles to confirm the Lord’s authority to cleanse the Temple and the rightness of His actions?

(b) Why does the fact that they asked for a sign show their unbelief and rebellion against Him?

c) In what way can we be guilty of falling into the same attitude today?

5. (a) Read verses 23-25. What was wrong with the faith of the people mentioned here, which caused Jesus not to "trust" Himself to them?

(b) In what ways is this kind of superficial "faith" evident today?
