John 3:22-36 - Week Seven
1. (a) Verse 22 says, "After this" (the encounter
with Nicodemus) Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, where
he spent some time with them. Why was this important?
(b) It also states, "and baptized." Did Jesus do
any baptizing? Use Scripture for your answer.
2. From verse 23, can you give an argument either for or
against sprinkling versus immersion when baptizing?
3. What do you think was the underlying reason for the
argument that Johns disciples had with certain Jews?
4. Describe Johns reaction to his disciples when they
confronted him about Jesus activities.
5. What do you think John means when he says: "the friend
who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him"?
6. What applications can you make from this passage?
