2. (a) Read Matthew 24:36-25:30, and notice the ways that Christ tells us we should live in view of His return.
(b) Again, is this how you are living?
3. (a) How does the apostle Paul describe depraved man in Romans 3:9-20?
(b) In what way(s) does this help you understand the depth of what John is saying in I John 3:1a?
(c) What is your response to this?
4. John says that "when He shall appear, we shall be like Him" (I John 3:2). (a) What do you think this means?
(b) How do the following verses help you to understand what John is saying? Luke 24:36-43; I Cor. 15:35-55; Philippians 3:20,21; Rev. 21:4.
5. (a) Why is it important that we purify ourselves as He is pure according to Matthew 5:8 and Hebrews 12:14?
(b) How does one purify himself? Support your answer with Scripture (some helpful tips--Galatians 5, Ephesians 6, Colossians 3, to name a few)
(c) Can you purify yourself in your own strength? See John 15:5.
6. (a) Are you ready for the Lord's return? Why or why not?
(b) How do you live in light of the Lord's return?
(c) What changes do you need to make in your life so that you will not be ashamed at His coming?
