"Tabasco Trials & A Cool Faith"
- A Study of the Epistle of James -
Lessons
Have you ever wondered what genuine faith looks like? Have you ever asked yourself "Self, does my faith work?" True faith works in ones life when going through trials from the Lord, as well as when facing temptations from the devil.
It's a faith that causes us to be a hearer of the word as well as a doer!
It is a faith that works when it comes to loving the unlovely. Having control over our tongue can only come from a faith that works. Genuine faith allows us to have that wisdom that is from above, and not from the world.
It is a faith that helps us to resist the devil and submit ourselves to God in humility.
It is a faith so deep within our souls that we deeply desire to be used as a vessel by God to convert others, saving their souls from death. Last, but not least, genuine faith waits patiently for the coming of the Lord.
This us just a taste of where we will be going this fall as we study the wonderful
James wrote this letter to a group of believers who were having some problems. James knew that their faith was not working, and yet he knew that genuine faith does work! Yes, true faith works! This is the dominant theme in James: Faith that is real works practically in one's life.
Join us the this fall as we study this exciting letter from James!
