1. Read Exodus 1 & 2. Describe the environment in which Miriam
grew up.

3. Read Exodus 14 & 15. (a) What was Miriam's response after
Israel crossed the Red Sea?

(c) How were her actions supportive of Moses' leadership?
4. (a) What was Miriam's role in the leadership of Israel
according to Micah 6:4?
(b) What could have been her role as a woman with respect to
Moses and Aaron in their leadership?
5. Read Numbers 12. (a) How would you describe Miriam at this
point in her life?
(b) What underlying attitudes might have caused Miriam to
criticize Moses' leadership?
6. Read James 3:13-18. (a) How are godly wisdom and selfish
ambition described?
(b) What phrases from this passage describe Miriam, Moses, and
Aaron?
7. (a) What characteristics of Miriam would you like to model in
your life?
(b) What warnings from her life are there to heed as a
Christian?
8. Write one of these lessons as a prayer request that you would
